The apartment itself was very nice. However when we arrived, Maria Cristina informed us that one of the bedrooms that we reserved over 10 months ago was not available because a gentleman had decided to extend his stay. We told her that it was not acceptable and a long argument ensued in which we forced her to provide accommodations in a hotel at her expense. She was rude, cursing at us and causing a major scene. According to the young ladies renting next door to us, Maria Cristina has a reputation for not being a responsible land lord as they had issues with her as well. I cannot say in strong enough ways that you should stop representing her properties at once. I have never had such treatment in all the years that I have traveled to Europe and rented apartments. She is a disgrace to the vacation rental industry.

This property is perfect for getting in the mood to explore Florence. The space was more than adequate for our party of 10 offering privacy to 3 families. The kitchen area is small but allows proximity to the common eating area making it very functional. There are numerous stores nearby and a moderate walk to the must see historical attractions. The A/C was exceptional in all rooms keeping all in our party quite comfortable. The only surprise was I had to pay cash when the description clearly states cash or credit card. This created a burden of going to the bancomat everyday to withdraw 250 euros just to pay for lodging. Consequently, I had to find places that offered credit card payment for food which is challenging in Florence. If I had known about the cash restriction, I would have come prepared to pay at time of arrival. This experience could have been far worse had the landlord not been so understanding and accommodating. The staff was outstanding to work with.
